To set up decentralized industrial networks, many
applications need a central switch in the electrical
cabinet. This is where a managed high-performance
switch from Weidmüller comes into play.
We have no less than 12 different versions of our
IE-SWxx-M managed switches: with 8, 16 and 24 ports
(8/16/24 x RJ45). Each of these is optionally
available with two fiber-optic ports for very long
transmission sequences and/or highly
electromagnetically charged environments (2 x SC and
2 x ST). SC models are also available as a
single-mode version. With enclosures measuring just
45 millimeters, up to 24 segments can be connected.
All Weidmüller managed switches are
protocol-transparent. Each individual port is a
network segment and a collision domain in itself.
All the ports can be directly connected with one
another. The integrated software makes configuration
very easy via an RS232 port with a terminal program
or via a Web browser interface.
